Formed in 2018, Healthy KP Substance Use Prevention Coalition is a community-based group of volunteers from various sectors of the Plainville, Norfolk and Wrentham communities. Our coalition members include school personnel, parents, students, law enforcement, businesses, civic and volunteer groups, religious and fraternal organizations and health care professionals working together to prevent and reduce the use of alcohol, drugs and tobacco products among our youth.

In December of 2020, Healthy KP was awarded a competitive federal five-year Drug-Free Communities (DFC) grant allowing the coalition to strengthen community collaboration and engagement to prevent and reduce substance use among youth. By implementing evidence based prevention programs, strengthening community partnerships and building connections through community events over the last five years, Healthy KP has made progress in reducing rates of youth use. Healthy KP plans to apply for continued funding in the spring of 2025. We are Healthy KP.
